BAFTA Press Release
Star of Downton Abbey and Paddington shares career secrets and craft insights at ‘In Conversation With’ event.
Hong Kong, 26 November 2015: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) hosted an ‘In Conversation With’ masterclass event today with actor Hugh Bonneville in front of a live public audience at The Grand Cinema, Hong Kong.
Interviewed by Lisa S, Hugh Bonneville’s masterclass shared insights into his career with newcomers to the industry, students and members of the public. The masterclass was the culmination of a two-day BAFTA trip for Bonneville that also saw him visit two local schools and attend a private gala dinner at The Peninsula Hong Kong in support of the charity’s ongoing activity in Asia. This activity has been supported by partners including The Peninsula hotels, British Airways, Champagne Taittinger, the British Council and Shakespeare4All.
Earlier this month, BAFTA hosted multiple masterclasses in association with M.A.C Cosmetics with hair and make up designer Naomi Donne in mainland China and Hong Kong. Hugh Bonneville’s masterclass and school visits today are part of the same BAFTA programme that aims to encourage creative collaboration between the UK and Asia by bringing together talented individuals from the film, television and games industries to share their skills and expertise.
